In accordance with the Official Calls of the Special Party Canvas, I am announcing the cancellation of the February 25, 2026, canvas, which was scheduled to take place at Minnie Howard.

I am happy to announce that Linda App will be our next chairwoman of the Alexandria Republican City Committee. Linda is a longtime member of the ARCC and has held various officer positions over the last ten years. The first meeting of the 2026-2028 term will take place on Wednesday, March 4th.

I’d also like to announce that Gerry Chandler will be our Republican nominee for Alexandria City Council. He will be running against former City Council member Frank Fannon, who is running as an Independent, and Sandy Marks, former head of the local Democratic Party. The election will take place on April 21.
