The Alexandria Republican City Committee (ARCC) held its annual holiday party in Old Town at MacMillan Spirit House on December 16. There were more than 60 people in attendance.

ARCC Chairman Chris Howell thanked volunteers and event sponsors and talked about the upcoming 2026 races for the U.S. Senate and the 8th Congressional District. Two of the announced candidates for the U.S. Senate, Kim Farington and David Williams, were in attendance and addressed the crowd.

Howell said, “The Alexandria Republican City Committee is here to help put commonsense conservatives back in office.”

Howell also said that those thinking of running for local office in 2027, including Mayor and City Council, should start laying the groundwork now and contact him or other ARCC members.
