The Virginia Republican Party is excited to present our slate of candidates for the upcoming primary election. These individuals are committed to advancing conservative principles and effective governance throughout the Commonwealth.
Executive Branch Candidates
Gubernatorial Race
- Winsome Earle-Sears – Currently serving as Lieutenant Governor, she brings proven leadership experience and strong conservative values to her gubernatorial campaign. Earle-Sears advocates for economic development, personal liberties, and traditional Virginia values.
Additional information: Two other potential candidates (State Senator Amanda Chase and Dave LaRock) attempted to qualify but failed to gather sufficient petition signatures for ballot inclusion.
Lieutenant Governor Candidates
- Pat Herrity – Known for fiscal conservatism and pragmatic leadership in public service
- John Reid – Advocates for constitutional rights protection and limited government intervention
Additional information: John Curran’s candidacy petition was unsuccessful due to insufficient signature collection.
Attorney General
- Jason Miyares – The incumbent Attorney General continues his commitment to public safety and rule of law. No challengers have emerged within the Republican Party for this position.
Candidate Recruitment Initiative
The Alexandria GOP actively seeks qualified conservative candidates for numerous open districts. Multiple areas currently lack Republican representation on the ballot, creating urgent opportunities for conservative voices.
