  • Nomination by Republican State Convention on Sat., May 31
• Office to be elected: U.S. Representative (8th District)
  • Nomination by GOP primary on Tue., June 10 (Polls open 6 am - 7 pm)
• Voter registration deadline for general: Mon., Oct. 6
• General Election Day: Tue., Nov. 4 (Polls open 6 am - 7 pm)

2009 spring election:

• Offices to be elected: Mayor, City Council (all 6 members)
  • Nomination method to be determined (Jan.-Feb.)
• Offices to be elected: School Board (all 9 members)
  • Candidate filing deadline is Mar. 7
  • Races are non-partisan, so no party nominations are made
