Want help with voter registration?
Within 30 days after registering, you should receive a Voter ID card in the mail from the City, showing your address and your voting precinct and polling place. On Election Day, you will be allowed to vote only at the precinct in which you are registered to vote. Keep it current: If you have changed your address or your name, you'll need to update your registration information. Complete the change-of-information form on the back of your voter ID card and send it to the City Elections Office (132 N. Royal St., Alexandria 22314), or call the Office (703-838-4050). More information on registering to vote is available from the Alexandria City Elections Office and the Virginia State Board of Elections.
